Our

Mission & Values

Rainbow Seniors ROC seeks to equitably embrace, celebrate, support and advocate for the broad spectrum of

LGBTQ+ older adults, to promote their highest quality of life at every age.

Established in March 2020, our mission is to help older adults live their “best lives”, connected to the community, engaged in enjoyable activities and securely linked to the social services they need to thrive. All programs are open to the public and all ages are welcome with the proviso that mutual respect toward one another is mandatory.

Our Board

The members of our board of directors are thought leaders who have made a significant contribution to our society. Each and every one of them brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization.
Charlie Lytle, President (he/him)
Charlie has been a part of the LGBTQIA community in Rochester since 2000 when he joined the staff of AIDS Rochester. He went from ARI to the University of Rochester as a trainer and educator of different HIV harm reduction programs. He has served on the Board of Directors of GAGV, Mocha and RATFA (the Rochester Area Task Force on AIDS) and the original Rainbow Seniors. It is an honor to be apart of Rainbow Seniors ROC.

Patrick Dill, Vice President (he/him)

Patrick was born and raised in rural Nebraska, escaped to the East Coast, joined the gay & lesbian community in Boston in the early 1980’s, was involved in political and AIDS activism, especially in collaboration with his life partner whom he married in 2004 and spent 30 years together.

Now single, and a Rochesterian since 2019, he re-entered the LGBT community at a Rainbow Seniors ROC Card Night in the Spring of 2023. With a career in small business, information technology, and customer service now behind him, he hopes his analytical mind, love of music, performing arts, and baseball, a soft heart, and passion for LGBT equality and justice will be valued assets for RSROC for years to come!
